While we believe Cathey Road is worth "saving," the real saving was done over 2000 years ago. And while Cathey road is a beautiful piece of God's creation, even more beautiful is the free gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). God created us to glorify Him and live intimately with Him, but since the beginning we have all been passed down a heritage of sin. Because God has no sin, he could not dwell with sin. But He has loved us so graciously that he allowed his one and only Son to come to the earth in the form of a man and to be crucified by man. He rose from the grave, conquering sin and death and restoring the relationship that was lost because of sin. "For Christ died once for ALL, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God (I Peter 3:18). The gift was not without cost, but it is FREE to those who believe. "Yet to all those who received Him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). THIS is the heritage we want to pass down more than any other! God has loved us enough to give what we could never give in order to dwell with us forever in heaven. "In my Father's house their are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:3-4, 6). We hope you have believed that Jesus is the only way to have a relationship with the God of the universe. He has paid the ultimate price, He has done all the work; we must simply accept the gift! IT'S FREE!
One day Cathey Road will pass away and all this effort to save it will be forgotten. But God's promises will remain. God says "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
